Kids Ministry

Sunday Mornings

9:30am
In each room, our kids are learning about how God loves them at their age. With our preschool and elementary programs, we invite every kid to participate in crafts, worship, games, and a teaching from the Bible!

July Curriculum

Fire up the ovens! We're headed to the kitchen to bake up something special. Kitchens are incredible places where the most basic ingredients are transformed into delicious treats. Our faith can be a lot like that, too! In this 5-week series, kids will follow the life of the prophet Elijah, whose ministry involved a lot of fire and bread as he formed a special relationship with God. They'll learn how knowing God helps me find what I need, hears my voice, guides me when I'm scared, comforts me, and is always with me are all the ingredients they need to get fired up!

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."

Matthew 19:14

No one is too young to start learning about the gospel! Our ministry is committed to introduce children, infants – 6th grade, to the Gospel in a way they can understand. Through singing, teaching, reading scripture and even crafts we hope to communicate to each child God created you, God loves you, and God wants a relationship with you. Join us every Sunday in our Children’s building for the fun!
Every Sunday boys and girls from grades 5th - 8th meet up during our first service at 9:30am for games, a Bible study, and to build friendships!

Meet your Directors

Sarah Gardner

Director of Family and Kids Ministry
Sarah brings so much warmth and creativity to Kids Ministry. With two littles of her own, her passion for kids is huge. Sarah graduated Colombia College with a study in Child Development and worked 8 years as a preschool teacher at a private Christian school. After having her first baby, Sarah became a stay-at-home mom dedicated to homeschooling her babies and raising them to know of Gods love. She brings that same dedication to CBC to help raise each and every kid that comes into our building to know just how loved they are.

Katie Petroni

Elementary Director
Katie's fun and outgoing spirit allows her to connect to kids on a different level. Katie also works within our local school district as a Librarian/Media Clerk. This job allows her to connect with students and help us know what it is kids need day to day. Her connection to the WUSD has helped us fill many needs through our community that we wouldn't get to see otherwise. Katie continuously serves with kids in mind. She truly makes everyone around her feel so loved and she makes sure to remind everyone where her source of love lies, in Jesus.
