Sunday Mornings

8:30am & 10am
In each room, our kids are learning about how God loves them at their age. With our preschool and elementary programs, we invite every kid to participate in crafts, worship, games, and a teaching from the Bible!

No one is too young to start learning about the gospel! Our ministry is committed to introduce children, infants – 6th grade, to the Gospel in a way they can understand. Through singing, teaching, reading scripture and even crafts we hope to communicate to each child God created you, God loves you, and God wants a relationship with you. Join us every Sunday in our Children’s building for the fun!

October Curriculum

There’s a reason lions are symbols of courage — even their roars (which can be heard up to five miles away) tell us how strong they are! And because of God’s promises, we can be as strong and bold as lions, too. In this five-week series, kids will learn important truths from the life of Daniel they’ll want to shout (or roar!), like how we don’t have to give up and don’t have to feel alone. Instead, we can keep learning and not be afraid, even when we don’t know the future. Why? Because God is with us!
BIG IDEAS & BIBLE STORIES
  • I won't give up — God is with me! (Babylonian Captivity: Daniel 1; Lamentations 3:19–26)
  • I'm not alone — God is with me! (The Fiery Furnace: Daniel 3; 2 Timothy 2:8–15)
  • I can keep learning — God is with me! (The Writing on the Wall: Daniel 5; 2 Timothy 3:14–17)
  • I'm not afraid — God is with me! (Daniel in the Lions' Den: Daniel 6; 2 Timothy 4:16–18)
  • I don't know the future but I know God is with me! (Daniel's Dream: Daniel 7; 2 Thessalonians 1:1–4)

Meet your Director

Katie Petroni

Director of Family and Kids Ministry
Katie's fun and outgoing spirit allows her to connect to kids on a different level. Katie worked within the Waterford School District for many years as a Librarian/Media Clerk. Her connection to the WUSD has helped us fill many needs through our community that we wouldn't get to see otherwise. Katie continuously serves with kids in mind. She truly makes everyone around her feel so loved and she makes sure to remind everyone where her source of love lies, in Jesus.
